青光眼屬於慢性神經退化疾病，大部分早期患者沒有明顯症狀，若青光眼持續惡化可導致不可逆轉的視力損失。 為增加港人對青光眼最新治療及診斷方法的認知，奧比斯聯同本學系舉行眼睛健康講座，本學系系主任及臨床教授梁啟信教授跟大家分享專利技術ROTA如何幫助診斷早期青光眼，並介紹藥物、激光及手術三種治療方法，其中包括青光眼微創手術。

Glaucoma is a chronic degenerative disease of the optic nerve that leads to progressive visual field loss and ultimately blindness. Most patients do not experience obvious symptoms in the early stages. To raise public awareness of the latest treatment and diagnostic methods for glaucoma, Orbis collaborated with our department to organise an eye care talk. Professor Christopher Leung Kai-shun, Chairperson and Clinical Professor of the Department, explained how the patented technology ROTA aids in early glaucoma diagnosis. He also introduces three treatment methods: Medications, laser and surgical options, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.
